About Melanie:
I have been leading wild food and medicine classes in the greater Burlington community for over 20 years.

I am an herbalist, registered dietitian, and community nutrition educator. I am also an artist, and I often make environmental art pieces from found objects, driftwood, seedpods, grapevine, stones, snow, leaves, and dirt.

I find great joy and adventure in my forays into the woods and fields; and I love connecting with students and plant enthusiasts of all ages, learning about the wonderful world of wild edible and medicinal plants together.  There are hundreds of healing plants that thrive in Vermont; abundant native plants, and more recent additions - "non-native" and "invasive" species that can also be allies in natural health.  It is my pleasure to share in plant learning and outdoor adventures with you.
